Grand Harbour Marina proudly took part in the Power4Med "Greening the Future: Advanced Tools & Strategic Planning for Marina Sustainability” Training Day, a full-day workshop held at Transport Malta, Ħal Lija.
Organised by Yachting Malta, the event brought together professionals from across Malta’s yachting and marina sector to explore actionable strategies for greener and more resilient marina operations.

Two members of the Grand Harbour Marina team, Candela Aimaro (Content Creator) and Gordon Vassallo (Marina Manager), represented the company during the workshop.
The training was part of the final phase of the EU-funded Power4Med Project, which focuses on supporting the decarbonisation of Mediterranean marinas through innovation, collaboration, and practical planning.

The day included expert-led sessions covering topics such as renewable energy solutions, environmental risk management, indigenous landscaping, and best practices from leading sustainable marinas like D-Marin Zea Marina and Flisvos Marina in Athens.
“It’s inspiring to see how much we can implement with the right mindset and collaboration. Sustainability isn’t just a goal; it’s something we can all be part of, every day.” said Candela Aimaro.
The Power4Med initiative continues to strengthen Malta’s leadership in sustainable maritime development. Grand Harbour Marina is proud to contribute actively to this vision and remains committed to driving environmental progress across the industry.
