And few islands throw themselves into this high season of fun and frolics with more gusto than Grenada – the spice island in the calm waters on the southern tip of the hurricane belt.

RORC Transatlantic Race
The second annual RORC Transatlantic Race begins off the coast of the Spanish island of Lanzarote. Participants will begin to arrive at Port Louis Marina, Grenada approximately 10 days later and the final finishers could take up to 3 weeks. Carriacou Parang Festival
Berthing at Port Louis Marina is the perfect opportunity to visit the beautiful island of Carriacou to witness the annual Carriacou Parang Festival. Carriacou is rich with traditional culture, these include; Big Drum, Quadrill Dancing, Shakespeare Mass, Tombstone Feast and the list could go on and on.

Grenada Sailing Week
Great courses and party venues with fun Lay Day activities – the 2016 Grenada Sailing Week will introduce sailors to the very best sailing that Grenada has to offer. The Grenada Sailing Week combines the warmth and charm of Grenada with great sailing conditions to create this annual event, “Spice It Up In Grenada”. In 2014, we saw 13 nationalities, 36 boats and 300 plus crew come to Grenada to take part in this International Sailing Regatta.

Carriacou Carnival encompasses wild and wonderfully expressive street dances, soca frenzy, parade of the bands and a calypso competition that combines rhythm with humorous and stinging social commentary.

Independence Day Celebrations
The marine celebrations include the Workboat Regatta. Unlike other sporting yachting events, the boats in this event were traditionally the working fishing boats of the community – 16 or 17 feet long, made from local hard woods and with masts of bamboo.
