Historic, sophisticated, beguiling Bodrum

Located in Yalıkavak, near Bodrum, in the southern reaches of the Aegean Sea, Palmarina not only provides secure, year-round berthing for yachts up to 100m.

It’s also your gateway to an enchanting mix of experiences

Another world on your doorstep
Palmarina is your gateway to the authentic Turkey of old. Take a stroll around Bodrum Old Town, once a fishing village and now a magnet for chic Istanbulites and foreign visitors alike.

High above the harbour you’ll find the Castle of St Peter, built in the 15th century by the Knights of St John. While you’re exploring the old world laid before you, be sure to also visit the site of the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of only two remaining Wonders of the Ancient World, built in the fourth century B.C. as the burial chamber of a local ruler.

Beyond the marina there are endless other shopping opportunities. The Bodrum peninsula is famed for its bustling, colourful markets where, besides the fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers, you’ll find intricately woven Turkish carpets, artisan textiles and pottery. Take a stroll amongst Bodrum’s narrow streets and you’ll discover countless little shops selling everything from traditional leatherware and silver jewellery to exotic oriental artefacts.

Lose yourself in the labyrinth of cobbled alleys, lined with bougainvillea-festooned white stucco houses, or haggle over a pair of ‘Bodrum’ sandals in the bustling bazaar. Stop off for authentic mezze in a tucked away, back-street café, or take in the harbour as you feast on freshly grilled fish
