Çeşme Marina enjoyed a lively weekend on and off the water as the Bluefin Fishing Tournament came to a successful finish.
The annual event creates a festival scene at the marina and brings together anglers, boating enthusiasts, families and visitors for a celebration of fishing and life by the Aegean Sea.
Taking place from 3–6 September, the tournament welcomed competitors to Çeşme Marina for several days of fishing, entertainment and shoreside activities. Despite particularly strong winds and challenging weather conditions reducing the number of participants able to compete, enthusiasm remained high throughout the event.
The tournament concluded with an award ceremony at Çeşme Marina, celebrating the achievements of the competitors and recognising the Catch & Release category, which encourages a more responsible and conservation-conscious approach to sport fishing. The ceremony brought a memorable few days of competition and camaraderie to a fitting close.
While the competition took centre stage on the water, there was plenty happening ashore too.
Throughout the event, the marina welcomed visitors for a vibrant programme of talks, live music, food and drink, exhibitors and family-friendly activities. The dedicated event area brought together stands showcasing boats and outboard engines, fishing equipment, clothing and lifestyle products, creating a lively festival atmosphere around the marina.
The event is more than a fishing tournament, and once again demonstrated Çeşme Marina’s role as much more than a place to berth. By hosting sporting, leisure and community events such as the Bluefin Fishing Tournament, the marina continues to bring people together and provide a welcoming waterfront destination for both the boating community and visitors to Çeşme.
